Let’s face it – today SEO is all about incoming links. Some SEO experts say that website optimization only carries about 10% weight in successful SEO campaigns. I would say it’s even less than that.
Of course, when talking about incoming links, we should pay attention to such factors as velocity, relevance of anchor text to the site’s content, authority of the linking site, domain age, pr, alexa ranking, etc.
But for the purpose of this post all those factors are not important. What’s important , all those links were generated from the sites that have some content on them.
Sure, sure, your site’s search engine ranking will be increased if you will have the almost empty page from the high pr site linking to you. You’ll benefit even if all the content this page has is just an anchored link to your site.
Going one step further, you can create thousands of new pages on high pr sites, then cross-link them.
In fact, this is an outline of one of the black-hat SEO techniques – creating thousands of accounts on different social networks, creating empty pages without any content, or with regurgitated articles, throwing anchored links and then cross-linking those pages boosting the SERPs for the entire network.
But generally speaking, especially if you prefer to stay on white side of SEO, the more content the linking site has the better.
So if you have enough unique content, you can easily create pages on all those high-ranking social networks, and link them to your site. There is nothing wrong with this approach. It’s beneficial for the readers to see the reference to additional resources on the topic they are interested in.
And since your site happened to have more additional info on that particular topic, search engines will reward you for relevancy. This is an absolutely white-hat method.
There is a little problem though. You will have to have tons of new content, thousands of articles to make it work. And it’s not easy to find many articles on short notice.
Sure, you can go to article directories. But you’ll have to publish a resource box giving the credit to the author of the article. Thus you’ll be bleeding your pr… Plus those articles could hardly qualify as a unique content….
Of course, it’s better to publish those articles than have no content at all. Yet this is hardly an ideal situation.
I found the easy solution for this problem. You wouldn’t believe your eyes. But you can actually get over 100, 000 articles for only $1 (111,107 to be exact).
